Mike Williams

Vice President, Technology, Product Development & Plant Manager

Mike Williams is the Vice President, Technology, Product Development & Plant Manager at Bison Metals Technologies, a 128,000 square foot operational manufacturing facility located 40 minutes east of Oklahoma City, in Shawnee, Oklahoma.  Mike leads a team of 7 direct and 80 indirect employees in the manufacturing of copper tubing, mill maintenance, along with spearheads the development of new products & alloys.  Mr. Williams has a proven record of success at this facility in managing production growth, product development and project management systems, all the while overseeing capital improvement projects in driving cost saving reductions in both Bison Metals’ operational and distribution facility.

Previously, Williams has served in various roles within operational  management of the Shawnee, Oklahoma facility for over 45 years.  Mike’s substantial experience through this time frame with Wolverine Tube, Shawnee Tubing Industries, and STI has led him to various leadership roles as Directory of Technology, Operations Manager, Industrial Mill & Technical Mill Manager, Production Coordinator, and Production Supervisor.  Mr. Williams also served as a key team member on greenfield production facility upstarts in Booneville, Mississippi, Roxboro, North Carolina, and Monterey Mexico.

Mr. Williams attended Seminole State College and has completed various supplementary management and workshops courses during his career focused on engineering and continuous improvement.  He holds Shainin Statistical Engineering Journeyman certification and is known for highly organizational skills, training and interpersonal skills and mentoring high performing individuals and teams.

Mike lives in Lincoln County with his wife, Darlene.  Outside of his work life, Mike spends his time with his family and outdoors working on his farmland.
