Director, Purchasing

Dale Smith started at Bison Metals Technologies as Purchasing Manager in May of 2021, and was promoted to his current position as Director of Purchasing in June 2023.  Dale oversees the purchase of raw copper metal in the production application of seamless copper tubing along with the purchase of manufacture/maintenance parts and consumables for operational usage.  Included in his role, Mr. Smith manages the purchasing and receiving department personnel, along with day-to-day review of inventory stocking level.

In his previous employment with Morris USA GC located in Irvine, California, Dale has experience in roles as project superintendent, general superintendent, project manager, and construction manager.  His 18 years working in project/construction management in Industrial and Medical new construction had him managing 300+ employees along with supervising projects valued over $30m dollars.

Mr. Smith has completed various OSHA courses and is UBC Blueprint proficient and has completed UBC Journeyman program as a millwright & carpenter.

When not working at Bison Metals he spends his time hunting, fishing, boating and ATV riding with his three boys.
