Clarice Edwards
Director, Human Resources
Clarice Edwards began her career in accounting as a bookkeeper for a retail grocery store while attending college. Her career path has transcended multiple industries giving her a broad span of experience. Roles she has held have included responsibilities for not only managing accounting teams, but also payroll and human resources management in the professional services, healthcare, and manufacturing industries.
She served on the Northeastern Oklahoma Chapter of the American Payroll Association in various capacities including Board Member, Treasurer and Chapter President from 2005 – 2016. She served on the Oklahoma Payroll Conference planning committees for most of those years. Her contributions to the Chapter also included speaking and instructing on various payroll topics at monthly meetings and annual conferences. In 2013, she was awarded the Oklahoma Payroll Professional of the Year award.
After joining Bison Metals in 2022 as a member of the finance/accounting team, she accepted the role of Director of Human Resources in October 2022. Mrs. Edwards works to make sure Bison Metals cares for our biggest asset, the employees who work hard to exceed customer expectations every day. Making sure every employee is paid accurately and on time, educating employees on the exceptional benefits plan already in place and working to enhance the benefits offered have been a focus under her tenure. Employees who feel valued by their employer lead to a more productive workforce.
Mrs. Edwards graduated from the University of Oklahoma, completing her Bachelor of Business Administration degree while working full-time and raising a son as a single mother. In her spare time, she enjoys camping with her husband, riding bicycles, and working in the flower beds.
