Chief Executive Officer
Chris Wilhite is the Chief Executive Officer for Bison Metals Technologies corporate & operational facility located in Shawnee, Oklahoma. Wilhite leads a team of 20+ direct and 200 indirect employees that have generated $94m in revenue in 2023, with focuses geared to onboarding and building key customer & vendor relationships, lean strategy production cost improvements, new product growth in energy storage & distributionmarkets, championing company cultural change and leading organization profitable financial growth.
Before being named CEO in October 2023, Chris was promoted as Bison Metal’s Chief Operating Officer and Senior Vice President of Sales in June 2021. Prior to joining BMT in September 2020 as Vice President of Sales, Mr. Wilhite served as Vice President, Industrial Business Development and Operations for Cambridge-Lee Industries, a copper tube manufacturer. Chris has also held various positions within the copper tube industry as Director of Sales for Cerro Flow Products and Quality Manager, Senior Process Engineering, and Operations Manager for Wolverine Copper Tube.
Mr. Wilhite attended Western Oklahoma State University and has completed various supplementary management and leadership courses during his career focused on quality, engineering, and continuous improvement. He holds Six Sigma Black Belt certification and expertise in project management, team leadership, and developing people.
Within the business industry Mr. Wilhite represented Bison Metals as the representative for the American Copper Council and HARDI.
Chris has been awarded the 2014 PSRA Samaritan Award “Paying it Forward” and was a nominee of the 2022 Angels Among Us within the Tri-County area of Shawnee, Oklahoma. Both of these awards to which Mr. Wilhite was bestowed is for his commitment and unwavering support in helping fellow men, woman, and children lead a better life.
Mr. Wilhite lives in Sayre, Oklahoma with his wife, Robin. When not working he spends his time with his family, searching out thrill seeking adventures and overseeing Wilhite Racing, which his son, Christoper W. Wilhite Jr. drives for.
