Director of Quality Processes

Heath Payne accepted the position in January 2024 as the Director of Quality Processes. Prior to this role Mr. Payne served as Plant Manager at the operational manufacturing facility located in Shawnee, OK in 2020. In Heath’s role at Bison Metals, he is responsible for overseeing the development and implantation of quality assurance policies, procedures, and programs which leads the organization’s efforts to ensure product quality and customer satisfaction along with meeting customer and industry standards. Mr. Payne also oversees Bison Metals training center in working with production, engineering, and other departments to ensure employees are fostered with the knowledge and best practices in manufacturing copper products along with the service drivers needed to meet customer expectations.

Mr. Payne has over 30 years of copper tube experience in various roles of leadership with Wolverine Tube and Cambridge-Lee Industries. His experience as Customer Champion, Plant Manager, and Quality Manager has excelled him to be a key player in the skills of leadership, quality assurance and training.

Heath graduated from Northeastern Oklahoma A&M with an associate degree and has completed various management and workshops courses during his career focused on quality and service. Personal accolade for Heath is being inducted into the Juco Hall of Fame in 2023 with his teammates and brothers for life, Golden Norseman Baseball.

Mr. Payne calls Lincoln County, Oklahoma home with his wife, Kalie. When not working, Heath can be found on the golf course or at the lake spending time with his three sons and daughter.
